The Arts Company – Anne Brown

5th Avenue in downtown Nashville has become to be known as The Avenue of The Arts and that’s where you’ll find The Arts Company, owned and operated by Anne Brown for 14 years!

The gallery is a “must see” when you’re out shopping or browsing or just looking to see something new. They are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, displaying fantastic art by various local artists as well as offering visitors a great gift shop where incredible pop-up books are available for purchase as well as cards and cups and other great gift ideas.

“Fresh. Original. Contemporary.” That is Anne’s philosophy in choosing what art to exhibit and what an amazing job she does with 14 years of success as evidence. The retail area of the gallery is at the front of the suite with lovely space set throughout the room for exhibiting artists. You can find even more treasures on the very spacious second floor where Anne has created comfortable areas featuring incredible displays of artwork by some very creative individuals to browse a behold. Ask about their “garage sales” too!

This month The Arts Company features the metal works of Brother Mel; some very whimsical creations by Tres Taylor using paint on tar paper; and some beautiful perspective paintings by Charlie Buckley, displaying the various views of our own Nashville skyline and the buildings of the downtown area.

Anne Brown and her associates are friendly and knowledgeable and will be happy to show you the works they have on display throughout the building. Artists are encouraged to submit requests to display their art and more information can be found on The Arts Company’s website. Visitors are encouraged to stop in and take some time, enjoy yourself and the art; you’ll find yourself immersed in creativity and imagination!
