Official photographer for the Nashville Zoo and professional wildlife photographer, Christian Sperka teaches a series of photography classes for the Nashville Zoo. Classes range from beginners to kids to advance photo techniques and post-production. Students in the How To Photograph Animal classes learn the behavior each animal to be photographed, the best photo technique for each habitat, the nature and movements of each animal, and the care and respect of the animals. Classroom instruction, field instruction, and up-close special behind-the-scenes encounters are included in the photography class series.

Bob Coan, Director of New Media Edge and videographer, was invited by Sperka and the Nashville Zoo to film an introduction on the How To Photograph Animal class. In addition to this film, Sperka and Coan have worked together to produce a series of How To Photograph Animals videos.
